Galamsey impact is manifesting in GaDangme
This is the Densu river, passing through Kojo Ashong, in the Ga West Municipality. Water is sourced here, for domestic use, by residents of several Ga communities.
The river runs through to feed into the Weija Dam, to supply potable water to the city of Accra. The Densu delta is constituted by the Sakumofio lagoon, whose Priest is principal in Ga traditional governance.
The menace is not far from us and may adversely affect us all. Let’s say no to Galamsey.
