One of the more curious rocks I have 🤗
Found this while fishing... it was up on top of the mud when the tide went out in the Bay of Fundy. There are small volcanic regions around the bay so I'm still not sure of what it is. It's quite magnetic has an oval fracture in the middle. but the 1100 g sample will not sound on a metal Detector. High pressure rock maybe? I will post some video of what it looks like under the microscope on the polished pieces. I have video of the unpolished surface back in my videos a bit under uv light 😃 I believe it was a 7.8 on the density test I ran... scratch test is weird some of its kinda soft like a 6 then other bits are hard as nails.
