Before coming to Samoa I had never heard of the concept of Fa’a Samoa or The Samoan Way, but after my visit, I got to experience it first-hand in terms of respect for family values (Aiga), generosity for the greater community, a strong sense of spirituality, commitment to traditions, and a profound connection to nature.
Samoa, an island nation in the South Pacific, is not easily accessible. But there is so much history and tradition on this tiny island nation of 200,000.
During my visit, I had a chance to see some magical waterfalls, and natural formations like the blowholes and ocean trench, and I was even super lucky to see an actual tattoo ceremony. I consider myself super fortunate to have made it to the historic island and had the privilege to interact with the gracious, kind, and welcoming people that embody the Samoan Way
