Obligatory lecture about why it's a shit idea to trivialize someone opening up about being suicidal:
Don't be a total ass to someone obviously struggling. Saying "those who really want to kill themselves don't talk about it, they just do it" is like saying "the only way you will ever be taken seriously is if you shut up and kill yourself" which is nothing short of encouraging a suicidal person to kill themselves. Don't be a dick, show some compassion.
If you're struggling, don't give up just yet.
