I cried making this video - and it wasn't just the long hours of audio recording that brought me to tears. I cried because the stories in this chapter of the book Ozark Tales and Superstitions by Phillip W. Steele are so beautiful and moving, so tragic and romantic, it ripped my heart strings straight in half. I hope that these breathtaking, ancient tales of love and death will inspire you to dream away and escape into another time.
