🎹 THE BALLET PIANIST 😱 How to play very SLOW TENDUS
When the ballet teacher marks a very slow 2/4 or 4/4 for battement tendus we, musicians, are in trouble most of the times. The tempo can be for an adage but we must play something that it's articulated and accentuated. In my experience, it took me a long time to feel comfortable playing this kind of tempi. A few years ago I started to work a lot with the great teacher SUSANNE LINDSTRÖM who collaborates with me on this video. Together we found other music styles for these kinds of battement tendus, and nowadays I enjoy them a lot. I hope my examples help you to feel more expressive and secure with the "slowest battement tendu".
