Samurize is fully customisable and skinnable system monitoring software, focused for compatibility with Windows XP. Fortunately, it can be coerced to (mostly) play nice with Windows 7. Examples of what is possible can be seen at http://www.samurize.com/modules/myalbum/

Troubleshooting FAQ's :
Check that...
1) the downloaded installer has been extracted from the .zip properly. (Under some conditions you may be able to run an .exe directly from an uncompressed file such as a .zip - I don't know what effect this might have upon permissions, especially under compatibility)
2) "newest windows 7" might be less important than other factors; are all the 'run-times' up to date, ie. the "dot net framework", java run-times etc. (Development for Samurize began trailing off around the introduction of Vista, hence there may be legacy dependencies. [I'm no coder, and give all thanks to those who made it!])
