The wonder and grandeur of the Art Gallery of Alberta hits me in the chest every time I enter it. I was honoured to let my voice soar and bellow through the curvaceous and reflective halls of that hyper expressive space. It has welcomed countless voices in countless forms of artistic mediums throughout my life. To stand and be a part of the history of art celebrated by so many, as an independent black woman artist, means the world to me.
