How to sync your BLOOD SUGAR with your CIRCADIAN RHYTHM
Our circadian rhythm plays a crucial role in maintaining stable blood sugar levels and cortisol. Proper levels of these hormones can have profound effects on the interplay between our biological clocks and metabolism. High cortisol at night with low melatonin can make it difficult to fall asleep. During the night, cortisol should be low and slowly increase to a high level when wakening. If cortisol levels are too low during the night or the circadian rhythm is abnormal, it can result in waking up in the middle of the night. Sleep during the night and energy during the day are significantly influenced by blood sugar, cortisol, and melatonin. If any of these becomes abnormal, the circadian rhythm can become altered resulting in health issues.
