Justice in America? Legal Accountability (or the Lack Thereof) following Police Shootings in the Black Community
Over the past several months, protests over the killings of Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, Daniel Prude, and several others by police have led many to ask: what role is there for law in seeking justice for the victims and their families? Can law be used as a tool to transform policing in America for the better? What are the barriers or limits to seeking justice through law? Join us and hear from experts who will help to explain the challenges within our current legal system to obtaining justice for victims of police violence and where we go from here.
