Free Guinea Pig Sleeping Bag Pattern 🐹💤
Here's another easy sleeping bag style to sew up for your guinea pigs! If you make one (or more!), I'd enjoy hearing how it went and what your guinea pigs think of it.
This sleeping bag has dimensions based off my big double sleeping bag pattern. If your guinea pigs have a sleeping bag they already love, you can use its dimensions to create your own, following all the other instructions in the video. Measure it, then add 1/2" seam allowance (which will take care of 1/4" on each side) to each dimension. For example, if their favorite sleeping bag measures (random numbers here!) 12" x 15", cut your four fabric pieces to 12.5" x 15.5". You can add a bit if you make generous seams. Then, just follow the other instructions in the video that come after the cutting instructions.
The plastic used is 100% optional and can be removed or added easily if you change your mind.

If you make this, I'd love to hear what your piggies think! This was filmed before Christmas, so mine have had it for a while now. Ollie absolutely loves it! (Remy has never really been into snuggly sleeping bag type things, so it's not a surprise that he doesn't really use it.)
Please make sure your piggies know how to get in and out of blankets/coverings before giving them sleeping bags. Always be safe!

The idea for using these plastic things (if I remember correctly) is from the guinea pig channel Squeak Dreams (she gets them from hay). I can't remember the exact video where she mentions them, but it's a super fun channel for guinea pig fans!
