A Conversation on the Future of Work with Alina Okun, honest questions and astounding possibilities.
In this talk we introduce to our audience Alina Okun who is focusing her consulting, writing and speaking engagements on the great topic of the Future of Work. On that matter we dive deep to explain where part of the complexity of a new environment brought about by an unprecendent paradigm shift. So in that sense there is no easy way out (or would it be way in - into the future?) and workers all over the world will have to reinvent their lives and disrupt their careers.
In this conversation we openly stress our difficulties on arousing urgency on clients - be it the leadership of the corporate ship or in the realms of the individual, as a sailor on his own facing the big ocean ahead.
We have dealt with strategy, praticallity, new concepts, different aproaches and alternatives for the normal work to take home his pay. To make a living is no easy task, and we lose a big chunck of the problem if we adress it simply by the economical perspective. That is why that both of us so dearly take into account Maslow's hierarchy of needs, and the importance to identify in teh different cultures where the biggest and most valuable demand is.
Although it may be seen as a sincere time discussing issues so embeded in our particular drama as consultants and writers, it is well put by the depth of the importance that the Future of Work has achieved in hearts and minds. So we have to be really careful not to use it as a buzz word. Its importance and meaning goes well beyond we are experiencing and seeing at the present.
