Making Fish Oils in Plants
This video gives an overview of the laboratory procedures that we have followed in order to develop Camelina plants that make omega-3 fish oils in their seeds. We describe the molecular biology procedures that we followed in order to isolate genes from algae and how we transferred them to Camelina plants (a process called transformation). The overall aims and progress of the project are also described.
