We are all aware of the beautiful things in the communities within which we live. However ugliness rears its dreadful head in many forms corrupting much of this beauty. In a society that can be evil, corrupt and oppressive, especially for the underprivileged. Many make reckless gambles with their lives and the lives of others. This encapsulates the message in the new track and video ‘Questions’ by emerging artists Infinate and Smallz.
Toronto based St. Lucian producer Johann ‘Yogidaproducer’ Deterville produced, mixed and mastered this gem. With heavy hip-hop/trap undertones with a Caribbean flavor and flow, Infinate laments many of these gambles with life that lead to life altering consequences. Promising Canadian based, St. Lucian rapper, Asher “Smallz” Small compliments this sound with his smooth flow and intricate lyricism.
The video is set in the village of Anse La Raye, Saint Lucia, Infinate’s birthplace. This stimulating visual takes us through some of the grimy realities of life’s struggles and gambles in many grassroot communities. It was shot, directed and edited by Toronto based St Lucian videographer Loggo Lionel.
