1pt Perspective - Part2 - Quick Value Study in Graphite
This video expands on the Part 1 video creating a measured 1-Pt perspective construction. This video adds how include rotated objects, or overlapping 2-pt perspective. The logical progression is that yes, you can have a virtually infinite number of vanishing points in a scene, so long as it's clear that each rotated object has it's own vanishing points and they obey the general rules of perspective. This video also helps students with value sketch studies in graphite. It's important to work on quick studies prior to jumping into a final rendering. A quick pencil study, with values and contrast can help your mind warm up, your arm warm up, and help you refine your design ideas quickly. The same principals may be applied in 2-pt, 3-pt, ink sketching, napkin studies, etc. Build strength in your arm through controlled cross-hatching. Speed comes with strength and practice. Going fast without any control will just look like rushed scribbling and will never feel convincing.
