VS Code is an excellent IDE for Flutter development.
Doing repetitive tasks, writing all the code manually and wasting time by opening the browser every time you want to copy a version of a Dart package isn't productive at all. You want to be in the programming flow as long as possible and not be disturbed by mundane tasks.
After you have completed the basic setup steps, the best thing you can do is to customize it to boost your workflow.
