Ambassador Rabinovich, the author Rabin's authorized biography Yitzhak Rabin: Soldier, Leader, Statesman (Yale University Press, 2017), will assess the impact and significance of Rabin's life and career that are so heartbreakingly cut short by the assassination.
Itamar Rabinovich, President of the Israel Institute (Washington and Jerusalem), served as Israel's ambassador to the United States and a chief negotiator with Syria from 1992 to 1996. he holds distinguished positions on the boards of several international foundations and on the faculty of leading academic institutions. He is Professor Emeritus of Middle Eastern History at Tel Aviv University, Distinguished Global Professor at NYU, and a Distinguished Fellow at the Brookings Institution. He was president of Tel-Aviv University from 1999-2007.
