Tube End Forming | 8 Inch Tube Reduction | RAM-8 | Proto-1 Manufacturing
Proto-1 has recently being expanding our R&D to larger tube diameters. With this in mind Proto-1 developed a new RAM tube end forming machine to accommodate larger tools and cylinders for more forming stroke and tooling clearance. The video above showcases our new RAM-8 machine with 8-6 inch, 3 hit progressive reduction tooling. This tooling and end form are part of a two stage process to reduce this end form down to 5 inches using another set of tooling hits to go from 6-5 inches.
