This is Jessica Mihm. How lucky were we when she walked into The BE in 2013? Our recommendation: make note of her current offerings and take everything you can.
Movement is a constant theme in Jessica's life. She played Division 1 collegiate volleyball and graduated from USC. Her life changed when an elbow tendon injury ended her hopes of a professional career. Yoga went from being a hobby to a fully integrated lifestyle when she found the Progressive Ashtanga method while healing from Tommy John surgery and the emotional fallout.
From then on, Jess dedicated herself to helping others find themselves through yoga, functional movement, and breath techniques. Her main objective is to teach people how unique they are anatomically, and to empower them to move functionally for their personal needs. She loves showing people it is possible to reprogram their overactive nervous systems so they can heal their bodies and free their minds.
Jess is a proud Texan, and her she's moved around the world a bit: Southern California; 300 miles above the Arctic Circle in Alta, Norway; San Juan, Puerto Rico; and finally dropping roots down here in sunny St. Petersburg, Florida. When she's not on a yoga mat, throwing weights around, trying new ways to explore movement and grow muscles, you can find her freediving and spearfishing for groceries or floating in the ocean with her family.
