Church Memory 2024: The San Camilo Listening Center in La Palma
The Spanish Episcopal Conference presents the 2024 Annual Report of Activities of the Catholic Church in Spain, an exercise in transparency that shows who we are, what we do, and how we accompany people in their most difficult situations.
During the presentation, held on December 11 at the Pablo VI Institute, the work carried out by the Camillian Religious on the island of La Palma, following the volcanic eruption, was highlighted as a prime example of effective support.
In collaboration with Caritas Diocesana of Tenerife, the San Camilo Listening Center was created, a space dedicated to providing emotional support to those who needed to express their pain, process their losses, and regain hope.
