Country Coastal // The Crossing at Ghost River
"Country meets coastal beach vibe at this incredible Southern Alberta wedding venue. When we originally toured The Crossing at Ghost River, we saw a number of different locations where we could style a wedding shoot. But as soon as I laid my eyes on this river house, the ideas started to flow. I wanted to bring the rustic feel of an Alberta wedding tied in with the coastal beach vibe we all love during the hot summer months. I knew this was the spot for this as soon as we arrived. The river house is located at the bottom of the property just along a secluded part of the ghost river. Breathtaking views at every angle, the fully covered pavilion can host 50-65 people. With an incredible Riverstone fireplace inside and an open concept, there are endless possibilities for you to create magic on your day. For attire we went with a light beachy vibe. Hair and makeup was done by Casey-Lee Hair and Makeup, giving the perfect natural beach wave and make up. A custom white wrap wedding dress for the Bride and the Groom in khakis and a white linen shirt. The bridal bouquet was an airy, textured bouquet with dried elements to pull in the rustic/country feel from the amazing Adventure Floral. The tablescape hosted rustic blue goblets, river stone plates, and two toned white and gold cutlery on wicker rounds. Each guest plate held a sea glass name card, as well as a beautiful menu provided by the wonderful Seeking Light studio. Driftwood lined the soft blue gauze runner with textured cream candles and oyster shell votives. We hung wicker lanterns above with greens for lighting and height to tie in the coastal piece, we had seashell and sand dollar sugar cookies line the table. As well as individual cakes with edible sea glass provided by the ever so talented Black Dog Bakery. All in all, this country coastal shoot came together beautifully with the direction and planning from Adventure Floral and was documented by Fly Free Photography and Fly Free Film. Stamping this beautiful memory in time and capturing everything dreams are made of"
