I had a guitar jack on my Fender Frontman amp that didn't ground well... created some bad buzz and allowed the jack to slide in/out too easily. I looked on here and didn't see a good "fix" for it. I found a way to fix the jack without replacing it.
I think the little bit of buzz left over after the fix is due to the volume pot on my guitar. At about mid-volume (as heard on the video) there's a little buzz left over, but when I turn the volume all the way up, the buzz is practically gone.
I already opened up the amp before starting the fix. It wasn't until after I opened it that I realized I could fix it. Anyway... good fix without replacement.
