Is Para is helping DoorDash Drivers?
I must say, Para is very real. Their claims are true. If you want to see Full Pay/Tip Transparency on DoorDash delivery opportunities, it is possible using the Para app.
Can you be deactivated for using Para?
Yes, you can be deactivated for just about anything that doesn’t coincide with DoorDash policies. As I was revisiting the Deactivation Policy the mention of scaping stood out to me. DoorDash defines scraping as using any robot, spider, web crawler, extraction software, automated process and/or device to scrape, copy, index, frame, monitor, conduct any systematic retrieval of data or other content from any portion of DoorDash platform or its content.
This also reminded me of a tool called the Driver Utility Helper which uses automation to filter through orders.
So yeah, this sort of coincides with terms on how you could be deactivated.
Can DoorDash afford to lose 5-10% of their active Dashers right now? Imagine if that number grows to 20% can they afford this? DoorDash cannot afford to lose Dashers without having a supplemental strategy. This would be cutting their nose to spite their face.
This is why I believe that DoorDash would most likely address Para and not the Dashers directly.
So is the risk worth it? Tip transparency has been the number 1 requested feature amongst Dashers for the longest.
Para is what it says it is, they offer tip transparency so if you are used to hustling then the benefits of using Para gives you clarity and removes DoorDash from playing a part on your psychology.
When it comes down to meeting your goals. Multi-apping or as I like to call it sometimes Uni-Apping is the way to go. It allows you to have more options. Just a few weeks ago DoorDash had a few outages. I was on GrubHub order when the first outage took place only to find out that DoorDash was down when I was trying to unpause my Dash. Para couldn’t help with that.
In closing, I want to say that I am driving further distances and my Acceptance Rate has slowly increased since I have more clarity with tip transparency. Is this something I recommend for everyone. Well no, everyone’s situation is different. I believe I am in a position to manage the risks that come with using Para. No matter what, use it at your own risk after you have solidified a strategy.
