According to various tests including a cycle wheel on the treadmill, a belt length test and a Treadtracker test, my treadmill speed is in the ball park of accurate.
I have now used three Stryd footpods and all measure significantly lower speed/pace than my treadmill. This is strange because in all other settings, so far, the Stryd has performed faultlessly.
So it must be something to do with my treadmill or it's positioning that is tricking the Stryd into underreporting speed and pace. This video shows part of our testing with two Stryd footpods, one on my left and one on my right foot. We used the Treadtracker to verify the treadmill speed and the results were consistent so the Treadtracker reading have not been included below. Also given is the calibration factor at each speed to bring the Stryd footpod inline with the treadmill. Results are in kph.
