So excited to share with you some fun easy Dollar Tree DIY boho home decor ideas! These items I got from Dollar Tree makes some real cute diy boho home decor!

BTW Happy Mother's Day to all the mommys out there!

For this week's video I wanted to show you some really cute Dollar Tree items that you can make into some cute boho diy home decor for an affordable price. I found a nice size sign, shower rings, and some little candle holders. Random.... I know. But felt like I could turn them into something trendy and make it look super cute!

My first thought was to make the sign into a nice macrame sign. It looked too plain and needed something to elevate the look. And I had so much macrame cord left that I just needed to try it out. So I cut out a whole bunch of 6 inch strands. I would say I did about 200+ strands. Once I was done with that, it was time to attach them onto the ring. I used the latch head knot or cow hitch knot to attach it. It took me longer because I didn't notice I had switched the knots, so ended up having to remove like half and attach it back on. After that I cut out a very long working cord about 3x the size of the ring. Attached that working cord to the ring using a double half hitch knot (did not mention it in the video, wasn't sure the name during the time I was filming). I did that all around the ring... It took me hours. I think I watch a couple of movies before finishing up lol. I really wanted to do two layers but it was just taking wayy too long. So I ended up just doing it once. After that I just cut the macrame cord and started to brush out all the strands creating a not fringe all around the ring. Cut the fringe evenly all around and it was finally done.

For the second boho diy home decor project I made a nice weathered planter. I think they were meant for candles but I made it into a little planter. Thought it had a nice shape to it. So I took some paint and painted that all around let that dry and than added another coat to it. Once it was fully dry, I took some water and coffee ground and mixed all that together. It was my first time doing something like this so it was interesting to see how it turned out. It definitely gave off this antique vibe. It made it look weathered so that was really cool. And to finish it off I added some wooden beads to it. It made it look like some little feet, SO ADORABLE.

And the final project was some fun shower curtains. Who wouldve thought to use that to make a boho diy project. But It had such a fun shape to it that I just needed to try it out. At first I thought using hot glue was the way to go but it definitely was not. It made some really big noticeable lumps and it just looked terrible. So I had to remove the glue. I tried using an exacto knife to remove the glue but that was taking forever and quite dangerous. Than I read somewhere to put it in the freezer... THAT was a no no. I ended up soaking it in hot water and that worked wonders. The glue came off so much easier. And once I cleaned up all the glue and paint, I grabbed my e6000 glue and used that instead. And it was harder to use because you needed to give it some time to dry. Trying hard not to touch it or itll move. But it worked out so much better than hot glue! Painted it and it turned out so nice! I used the baking soda paint method and it was great.
