Cord King M1820 Firewood Processor and 24 foot elevator. First day
Recently Purchased the Cord King 1820 firewood processor and 24' elevator. First impression is good production for a smaller machine. It is a very simply built basic machine with few bells and whistles. with the 6 way wedge larger logs will produce pretty large pieces that could be re split. Re splitting reduces production rates significantly. when ramming large logs through without re splits, 2 cords per hour can be achieved. with smaller 12 inch average logs working alone 1 cord per hour is about all that can be done. With a helper loading logs on the deck speed can almost be doubled. Putting logs over 20" on the machine will cause severe frustration. They don't fit. Keep them under 18".There are a few little annoyances that can be easily overcome. Most parts are generic and can be purchased locally.
