This is a series on backcountry flying involving techniques and tips for approaches, landings, takeoffs, and departures in the backcountry. In an effort to merge our old power points into a more entertaining and informative format we are moving to videos. We use a Maule M7, Piper PA-18, Carbon Cub, Super Stinson, and a Cessna 185 to demonstrate STOL operations in the backcountry.
