Welcome to Switch Wishlist, as usual, during the week we add new and exciting indie games to our Nintendo Switch eShop Wishlist. Today, we'll be featuring a new release that we're really excited about.

Today's game is The Last Spell, a turn-based RPG with rogue-like elements. Developed by Ishtar Games and published by The Arcade Crew, The Last Spell is set in a dark and dangerous world where players must, “defend the last bastion of humanity against hordes of monsters”.

Despite the, somewhat, generic tagline, The Last Spell looks to offer a unique blend of strategy and action, with players building their defenses and engaging in epic battles against powerful enemies. They boast that the game features a deep and engaging storyline, with multiple characters to choose from and a variety of different enemies to fight.

Judging by the gameplay trailers, this looks to be right up my alley. The action looks turn-based, akin to advanced wars or more modern final fantasy tactics, but with the graphics and RPG mechanics of old school CRPG's like Baldur’s Gate and Planescape. Everything from the classic UI, to the character equipment screens just oozes nostalgia for these older fantasy RPG's. As a fan of classic fantasy, and having played some ports of these older CRPG's on the switch, this instantly had me interested.

Overall, if your a fan of any of these things, or just to a fan of turn-based RPGs or rogue-likes in general, keep an eye on The Last Spell. Another fantastic addition to our Nintendo Switch eShop Wishlist, and we can't wait to see what Ishtar Games and The Arcade Crew come up with next.

That's it for today's episode of Switch Wishlist. Only 1 game added to our list this week, but we hope to include more during these mid week features as we go on.
