Every old school fan of Hetalia probably remembers this song and has seen it be used in the context of Hetalia already, but I still really wanted to make my own version of it.
I did try my best with this one but the results are a little less than favorable at some points. I wanted more movement, but it seemed to overly complicate things. I need to work on some editing techniques as well when it comes to convincing movement, but I learned that this animatic wasn’t the place to do it, so I dumbed down what wasn’t working. I also had a lot of issues with the timing of certain parts and it’s still not perfect or what I want it to be, but it was giving me too much of a headache, so I decided to let it be (after I had exported it for the 5th time and it was still off lol).
Just a quick note, this song was originally released in 2009, so some of the facts may be out of date. Though I did fact check every bit of info, some inaccurate stuff is still there as I couldn’t edit it out of the song. Particularly, the bit about having the largest supply of freshwater is incorrect. Canada is up there in the top 5, but not number 1 as the lyrics would suggest. And the design of the zipper was developed in Canada, but it was invented by a Swedish-American immigrant in the US.
