American Dream Mall in New Jersey, a walking tour on 2022-05-16 [4K]
Visiting this mall is incredible even if you don't like malls. The sheer size of this place is difficult to describe, and I hope this video helps you experience it. This was my first time visiting this place, and on this visit I did only a quick run-through. Let me know if this is interesting to you, and if so, I can do a longer, slower video.
American Dream is a truly giant venue. What other mall contains an indoor theme park with roller coasters (Nickelodeon Universe), an indoor water park (DreamWorks Water Park), an indoor ski slope, and an indoor NHL-sized ice rink. Additionally (yes, we're not done), there are two miniature 18-hole golf courses, a dine-in cinema, a bowling alley, Legoland, an aquarium, an indoor rock climbing facility and other attractions. Unbelievable but true. All this is besides six grand atria, hundreds of shops, dozens of full service restaurants, and a Ferris Wheel (Dream Wheel) with views of New York City.
Admittedly, and you should be able to see it in the video, the place is not fully populated by tenants, and is not yet teeming with people. High end furniture is distributed throughout the mall so that you can relax and enjoy the setting. The place also offers large spaces to pass time, and lots of photo ops. I imagine this is where the real housewives of New Jersey should be handing out.
As I drove into the mall area, there were signs that parking over 1 hour costs a flat fee of $4, however, we stayed longer than an hour and didn't seem to have been charged on exit.
