Chapter 29: A Golden Ring
For weeks we've been marching and I must say, the hobbit Folcred has left quite an impression on me. I've even managed to commit his name to memory this time.
Our journey has taken us through Moria and goblin-infested lands, and now we find ourselves in the distant lands of Dunland. The thought of being so far from home fills me with dread, but Folcred assures us that we're nearing our destination: the town of Duneard, where a valuable piece of jewelry is said to be hidden.
I'm still unclear as to why we've been tasked with this seemingly pointless quest, but Folcred claims it's a mission from the wizard Radagast, and the resources and warriors allocated to us lend credence to his words. I'm still puzzled as to why a hobbit is leading us, but I suppose I have no right to question our leadership.
Regardless, our goal is within reach. If this trinket can aid us in the coming war, I'll gladly wield my sword in the name of the Vale, and strike down our enemies with it.
