Episode 15
Our conquest and expansion have not gone unnoticed. From across Middle-Earth, messengers and diplomats now grace my hall in Byrig—each vying for favor as the winds of war sweep ever closer. The Dwarves, with their ancient, stone-borne pride, remind me of alliances forged long before my birth, speaking of kinship in battles I never fought. And then there are the orcs, wearing the mark of the Red Eye, dark and eager, bringing thinly veiled threats wrapped in talk of ‘gifts’ and ‘power.’ They seek aid in reclaiming some lost relic—another trinket of their Dark Lord, no doubt.
Our gaze was always fixed on Rohan, and Rohan alone. The horse-lords stole our lands, and for generations, we have dreamt of revenge, of reclaiming what was once ours. But now, with the reclamation of Calenardhon, Dunland has grown stronger than ever before—too powerful to be ignored by the other nations.
The world watches us now, waiting. The wars to come will force us to make a choice far greater than just settling old scores. We cannot sit idle, not anymore. I pray to the spirits of my ancestors that, when the moment comes—and it shall come soon—I will make the right choice. Not just for myself, but for my people, for Dunland.
