Mademoiselle D'Edaptoix took part in a peer-reviewed study of "Interactive Posing with 3 pinned SMR Effectors".
The results will be part of her PhD thesis on "Advanced Smart Magnet Rigging", published later this year in "Journal du Sciencès pour Animatèurs et Ordinatèurs", Paris.
One of the unexpected findings of the study, according to its authors was that "Surprisingly the thoro-abdominal IK chain required a tighter constraint than what our initial theory suggested. For optimal results, we had to limit movement within the 154-173° range."
For comments on the subject we also asked two prominent figures, members of the Rigging and Posing Council of the Académie des Beaux-Arts, who at this stage preferred to remain anonymous.
Our contacts agreed unanimously that the study, when published, will create shock waves in the industry, which will shift the tectonic plates.
"3-pin setup has never been attempted before.", one of our advisors said. "Up until now it was considered unthinkable. In fact, it was inconceivable as even 2-pin setups were rare and extremely unpredictable to build with the existing instrumentarium."
