Ambient jam from beautiful Sintra, Portugal
We’re travelling through Portugal, and stayed at one of the most beautiful, charming spots I’ve ever been to. I made a little soundtrack to go along with the vibe of the place.
This represents a few firsts for me. It’s the first time fully filming and editing on the road, with just an iPhone 11 Pro and an iPad air.
My music gear is also simplified, with just the iPad, an m-audio oxygen pro midi keyboard, and a small speaker.
And I tried a number of apps for this.
The beats are done on Drum Computer.
The first pad is Animoog Z.
The second synth is Flowtones.
I played and recorded them into AUM.
And I mixed the drums and added effects afterwards in Cubasis.
I edited the video in Adobe rush.
And the still photos were touched up in Lightroom.
It’s probably overkill for such a simple result, but it was also a great learning experience that I’m sure I can improve and build on.
I love the simplicity of the setup.
It travels well.
