Kerbal Space Program RSS+RO - Orbit Pluto (NO INFINITE FUEL)
Let's orbit Pluto in Real Solar System (RSS) with Realism Overhaul (RO)!
The main objective is to conduct a topography scan of the surface of Pluto. To do so, we will need to insert into a Plutonian orbit under 500km. The mission will
be carried out with a single rocket launch. Most importantly, the infinite fuel cheat will never be used.
Challenges:
1. Delta-v requirements to get to Pluto are very high
2. In addition, need enough delta-v to prevent fly-by and establish orbit around Pluto
3. Pluto is such a small target to hit from such a great distance
4. Pluto's orbital plane around the sun is inclined 17 degrees relative to the rest of the planets.
5. Signal delay to execute commands at distances near Pluto is around 4.5 hours.
