The Canon F4 zooms aren't too exciting, but they perform really well and feel built to travel. I'm back from New Zealand and we're taking a look at both the Canon RF 24-105mm f/4 L IS USM Lens and Canon RF 70-200mm f/4 L IS USM Lens. I've owned these lenses for years at this point, picking up the RF 24-105mm F4 with my RP in 2020, and the RF 70-200 F4 with my R6 in 2021. So far, they're still holding up great, and I have used each frequently, and for many trips and occasional freelance photography.
In this video, I took a small detour from my usual style. I, intentionally, have de-emphasized settings and focal ranges here. That's part of the point... when packing both, you're covered 24-200 at a constant F4, with a useful overlap at 70-105mm that prevents excessive lens swapping. Most shots are either at F4 or ~F8/F11. ISO ranges from 100 to ~3200. Maybe a few higher.
There are several GoPro HERO9 shots, and iPhone 14 Pro shots. Everything else in a white border, pics & vids, are from these lenses and the Canon R6. Many video clips have been shot in 60fps and slowed and/or have warp stabilizer applied in Premiere.
