In this short session, you’ll learn how a basic digital counter works—a fundamental building block in digital systems—and see a live demonstration of coding and simulation in Verilog.

•Definition & Applications:
A digital counter is a sequential circuit that goes through a predetermined sequence of states upon each clock pulse. Counters are widely used in clocks, digital watches, timers, and event counters.

•How It Works:
In our example, the counter will count from 0 to 15 (4-bit), using a clock signal to increment the count. There’s also a reset signal to set the counter back to 0.
