Orders are orders. Especially when those orders come from the Inquisition. When an Imperial Guard force was judged to have had too much contact with the Ruinous Powers during an Daemonic Incursion, it was determined that the only recourse was purging to prevent them tainting others with their knowledge. A force of Adeptus Custodes also fighting the incursion were tasked with carrying out the dark deed necessary for the protection of the Imperium.
Obviously the Astra Militarum force in question disagreed with the decision and chose their only recourse: fight for their lives.
Will the Emperor's Own cleanse the world of these possibly dangerous threats, or will the Guard do what they do best and soldier on? Watch and find out!
