Regardless of what others say, the CO2 lasers I've been working with on this channel for almost 10 years are still the best machines if you're looking for a solid, affordable machine with good performance, a large work surface, and inexpensive spare parts availability. There are tons of other devices available these days. However, among the hundreds of people I support, I mostly see big, Chinese promises that are rarely fulfilled. Diodes fail over time without water cooling, belts and drives are poorly constructed and become stiff, motors overheat, step losses, and even total failure of the laser or electronics. In most cases, spare parts are no longer available from the manufacturer once a new device is released, and the YouTubers who showcase the devices later stop using them. Once they've held the device up to the camera, they're introduced, and it's on to the next device!
