In our first class on mass balance, PET member Bianca Juliani explains a little about what mass balance is, why it's important, how we can classify chemical processes, and also presents the general equation for mass balance. Knowledge of mass balance is fundamental to all subjects in the Chemical Engineering course, so it's very important to understand the concept! In the next class, we will present how we can formulate problems using mass balance equations.
