The introducing of the YouTube Shorts Fund, a $100M fund that will be distributed over the course of 2021-2022.
They also said that monetization is not limited to only creators in the YouTube Partner Program. But to be eligible to participate you need to create original content for Shorts and adhere to their Community Guidelines.
They also mentioned that they are starting to experiment Ads within the #shorts platform to see how it will workout.
They continued to say that they are excited to start rewarding YouTube Shorts creators for their contributions through the Shorts Fund.
They will also be expanding the Shorts player across the YouTube platform to help people find new creators, artists and Shorts to enjoy.
