Rediscovering: Three Fugitives (1989)
Francis Veber remakes his own film, Les Fugitifs, for English audiences. It sees Nick Nolte playing an ex-con trying to go straight and Martin Short as the amateur bank robber who gets him in trouble with the law again.
Filled with slapstick humour, mainly at Short's expense, the oddball pairing works for the most part and the film is strongest when the pair are sparring off each other.
