In this lesson, we shall learn how to solve circuits problem using mesh analysis considering circuits with current sources and discuss the concept of supermesh.
When a circuit has a current, the approach to solving such circuits using mesh analysis is quite different.
When the circuit has a current source there are two important cases you need to consider.
Case 1
When a current source exist in only one mesh, you simply set the mesh current equal to the value of the current source or its negative.
Case 2
When a current source exist between two or more meshes, we create a supermesh by eliminating the source current and any element is series with it.
