In this lesson, we are going to learn how to combine capacitors in series and in parallel.
This lesson is the first part of two.
We shall focus on introduction to series and parallel capacitors as well as solving couple of examples.

Capacitors in Parallel
Ceq = C1 + C2, Equivalent capacitance formula in parallel
V = V1 = V2, Same voltage across capacitor
Q = Q1 + Q2, difference charge on each capacitor, hence total charge Q = Q1+Q2,

Capacitors in Series
1/Ceq = 1/C1 + 1/C2, Equivalent capacitance formula in series
V = V1 + V2, Source voltage = sum of voltage drops
Q = Q1 = Q2, same charge in all capacitors
