♦ Sims 1 - Sims 3 - Sims 4 : Beekeeping - Evolution
Hey there! This is a brief comparison of beekeeping in Makin' Magic, Supernatural and Seasons. As usual, I thought this was gonna be super short but it turned out to be a bit more complex. I don't usually utilize bees or like beekeeping in the sims but ever since cottage living was announced I kept thinking about other things that fit in that world and I wanted to explore beekeeping, and oh man, it's actually fun for the most part.
What's your take on beekeeping?
My opinion?
Sims 1's is quite simple, it's less beekeeping and more honey harvesting (but hey, I needed a title lol) I like how it's a fast way to gain cooking skill and the way the ingredients are so useful for magical purposes, it goes really well with the pack's theme and I love seeing Claire the Bear try to get some honey
Sims 3's didn't expand much, it was a tiny feature in supernatural compared to everything else but I like the new uses of honey and the fact that they added the actual caring for the bees.
Sims 4's added new things like the bond, the ability to control bees, the bees actually helping with gardens, it fit nicely in seasons and they made them interactive with the weather, so I think this one's my favorite take so far, it doesn't hurt that they gave a small nod to Clair lol
But that's just my opinion, let me know what you think and I'll see you on the next one, maybe this time I stick to gnomes lol
