Fridge Leaking? It Might Be a Clogged Drain!
This resident had some water leaking into the fresh food compartment of the refrigerator. This symptom usually stems from a problem with the defrost system.
Most domestic fridge and freezer combos go through a defrost cycle where the water drains down into the pan underneath the refrigerator.
This particular machine actually didn’t have a problem with the defrost system at all other than a clog in that very drain. In fact, it had two clogs.
We were able to clear both clogs and get the refrigerator back to running efficiently for the resident.
