Cops looking for someone drive onto tram lines and cycle path not sure what happened but 4 cop cars are outside a little shop. then maybe once a month the tram staff and a couple of cops try and catch people who are ridding the tram without paying i come across this guy who hadn't paid and was getting a fine he says paying so much tax the trams should be free. having seen a lot of tram staff before trying to catch fare dodgers is it really cost effective to have so many staff to catch a few fare dodgers and does the tram company pay to have 2 cops there just in case people get violent when they get caught is it really a good use of the cops time ? at 1 point a illegal joyrider drives past the cops dont evn try to stop them to be fair their isnt much they could have done unless they have some spike sticks to puncture the tyres in their pockets their is alot of debate about a thing called 2 tier policing in the uk at the minute thats where cops appear to act differently in their response to different communitys or companies where the public should expect fair and equal treatment for all situations a lot of small businesses say that they get ( no ) police response for theft with the police saying they haven't got the resources to attend but people see the police responding to things in huge numbers to other things the public generally dont think are a priority.
