After two years of speaking out about the gross misuse of power in how the Coast Guard handled bullying, harassment, and discrimination allegations and seeing nothing change — in fact only seeing her claims swept under the rug on all levels of the Coast Guard — Kimberly Young-McLear, PhD experienced thoughts of suicide. From that lowest point, she reevaluated her choices and picked a forward path where she can show up each day as her full, authentic self.
