= ... He has participated in and led research projects for the National Science Centre (NCN) and the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR), feasibility studies, and expert opinions in the field of energy and electromobility, as well as in international and national research and advisory bodies. He is a member and vice-chairman of the State Environmental Protection Council under the Minister of Climate and Environment. He is the chairman of the hydrogen expert team at the Chamber of Commerce of the Gas Industry, a member of the Scientific Council of the Beijing Research Centre in Beijing, and the initiator and director of the establishment of the Center for Research on Energy Transition, Mobility, and Climate Change at the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw. He is a member of the supervisory boards of both publicly traded and privately held companies.
The discussion forum is dedicated to hydrogen as an energy carrier similar to electricity or hydrocarbon fuel, which is considered the most promising form of clean energy in the automotive and industrial sectors. Its "combustion" with oxygen produces water or steam, which is not harmful to the environment because even if it enters the atmosphere, it circulates in a closed cycle (evaporation and precipitation), unlike carbon dioxide, which accumulates as a greenhouse gas in the atmosphere. There are at least several different technologies for producing hydrogen (low- and high-temperature electrolysis, thermochemical methods using the sulfur-iodine cycle, etc.). These methods will be discussed during the session. In addition to hydrogen production methods, a model for the future use of hydrogen in various energy sectors will also be defined.
The series of sessions entitled "Scientific and Technical Progress Closer to Society" was funded by the "Social Responsibility of Science II" program of the Minister of Science and Higher Education (POPUL/SN/0329/2024/02).
