University education and the practical needs of businesses in the information technology sector in Vietnam. Experts from IBM suggest that students should familiarize themselves with programming languages from high school to create a solid foundation before entering university. This early preparation allows students more time to research new technology trends, instead of being overwhelmed by general and theoretical subjects. Currently, the percentage of IT professionals meeting job requirements remains low, requiring learners to proactively cultivate practical skills and foreign language proficiency. Representatives from the Ministry of Education also affirmed the importance of reforming the computer science curriculum to help students orient their careers earlier. These changes are expected to address the shortage of high-quality human resources for the future labor market.
